If you're experiencing a problem with fileWATCH, please take a moment to fill out and submit the following report form. Please check the list of known problems beforehand.

If you want to make a suggestion or an enhancement request, please use the suggestion form instead.


Problem Report Form

When you submit your bug report, it will be entered into a database for tracking purposes. It will be associated with the account name under which you accessed this web.   Notices will be posted periodically regarding bugs reported by customers in the Known Problems section of this page, and tips or workarounds on the FAQ page.

Please be as specific as possible when describing the problem.

  5. If the problem is reproducible, please list the steps required to cause it,

    If the problem is not reproducible (only happened once, or occasionally for no apparent reason), please describe the circumstances in which it occurred and the symptoms observed:

    (note: it is much harder to fix non-reproducible bugs)

  6. If the problem causes any error messages to appear on screen, please write down the exact text displayed and enter it here. If you have a fileWATCH.log file in your program folder, please send it via email.

Known Problems

The following is a list of known problems or software conflicts with fileWATCH:

  • ImageFox 1.0 from ACD Systems may cause fileWATCH to crash if it is enabled.
  • Version 4.06 and below will not load on Windows Me. Versions 4.07 and above are compatible.
  • Version 5.00 may error when cataloging the Windows registry if Mozilla Firefox 1.0 is installed due to an invalid registry entry used by Firefox. Versions 5.01 and above include improved handling of invalid registry entries.
